My Unforgettable Baguio Trip: A Family Travel Experience
From Cebu to Baguio: The
Journey Begins
First, we took a flight from Cebu to Manila and landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). From there, we rode a taxi to the Victory Liner Bus Terminal, where we booked a ride to Baguio City.
Hotel Elizabeth: Our
Home in Baguio
We checked in at Hotel Elizabeth, a perfect place for families. It’s spacious, peaceful, and the staff are very accommodating. We stayed here for 3 days, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling with family or friends.
Day 1: Rainy Welcome and City Stroll
It rained hard on our first day, so we decided to go to SM
Baguio instead. We strolled, shopped, and had dinner at Peri-Peri Charcoal
Chicken & Sauce Bar. After that, we took a jeepney to Baguio Public Market
to buy some pasalubong like strawberry jam, fresh strawberries, and souvenirs.
We planned to visit Burnham Park since it was nearby, but due to the rain, we went back to the hotel. The biggest challenge we faced was booking a taxi or Grab—we waited almost 2 hours just to find one!
Day 2: Exploring Baguio and Benguet
We booked a car service for a whole-day trip to visit
Baguio’s beautiful attractions. Here are the places we explored:
1. Northern Blossom Flower Farm (Atok, Benguet)
Super cold
and foggy, but breathtaking.
I couldn’t see much because of the fog, but the vibe was magical.
2. Former Highest Point: Philippine Highway System

Standing at one of the country's highest points gave us a surreal feeling—fog all around and fresh cold air in our lungs.
3. Beacon Hill Eco-Park

Strawberry and Avocado ice cream are so good!

We bought fresh strawberries and more jam.

Just passed by and took a quick photo.

We loved this place! The cool air and pine trees were so refreshing. At the Bell House, we even met some Bisaya tourists from Davao, which made the experience extra special.
My sister and I wore traditional Igorot costumes (₱50 each) and rode a horse (₱20 each). Super fun!

We had the opportunity to take photos with the dog and horse — note that this service is not free.
After a long but fulfilling day, we had dinner at Grumpy Joe near our hotel—great food and cozy atmosphere!

All the food we tried was excellent. We also sampled their Dokot ice cream.
Day 3: Short and Sweet
Before Goodbye
On our last day, we visited places close to our hotel:
1. The Mansion
2. Wright Park

We walked around and tried the famous strawberry taho. |
Final Thoughts
My trip to Baguio was truly memorable and heartwarming.
Despite the rainy weather and minor challenges, every moment was worth it. I
fell in love with the cool air, the kind people, and the unique culture.
Baguio City will always hold a special place in my heart,
and I’m already looking forward to going back.
